That is a SUPERB point m2c. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Dagnabbit! Thank you for your reply. Sometimes I cahn't stend it you know. Lobbyists especially disgust me. And the pols who take the money and sell their votes. Sheesh.
I think they're all equally corrupt. That's because it's people who corrupt professions, and people are everywhere.
We hear about the more prominent ones (clergy, politicians, movie/sports stars, and such), but there are many more we don't hear about. While it's true that some professions may present more opportunities for corruption, any profession where money or power are involved can be corrupted (manipulated for personal gain).
A librarian or nursery school teacher probably doesn't have the opportunity to be corrupt as would a lobbyist or politician. Of course there are always exceptions. Thank you for your reply Shuhak. Of course people are in all professions. But some corrupt evil people are drawn to certain professions for what they steal cheat beg betray intimidate extort therefrom. I think.
Sad that Mrs. C. Evil exists within and seeks a place where it can control rule. Are evildoers born that way or trained to be that way? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thee! :)
Happy Tuesday Rosie! I think that most people are conditioned in some way to be who they are. Not sure if it's their upbringing, or just their personality/temperament dictating how they act or react to certain situations. Very interesting to think about.
Good point. You know what would be very nifty Mrs. C? Find a way to change the environments for say a month and see what happens. The considioning would be different so how would that affect us? I grew up in a home that influenced whom I am based on what my parents taught me and also lived. Had they been very different I would have been too. Which brings up another question I will ask. How old do people have to be before they stop being influenced by others? Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thee! :)
