A VERY PaTRIOTIC AMERICAN CITIZEN (New Hampshirite) provided a photo of his absentee ballot for the New Hampshire primary! Got your ballot?

It awesome to see folks who actually WALK THE WALK and not just talk the talk. Maybe there are more of you out there somewhere? Here's hoping you ALL SHOW UP to VOTE! Just like our Answermug friend who doesn't pretend but is the real deal. ARE YOU the real deal too?

I will be voting in the general you can count on that.

Primary is not biggie for me right now unless I decide to vote in the Dems.

In an uncontested primary.....it does not matter unless there are other issues on the ballot as well.

The GOP canceled your primaries as another form of voter suppression.

    Hah! Touche'

If you do, it would be funny if you wrote in Hillary! LOL

Buts seriously, I have voted Republicans in the past. I do cross party lines. Back when I could do so in my state, I was a registered libertarion. Now i remain independant,  switching  to to what I need to at the polling stations then back to indie when I exit. It troubles me that I have to declare my party when I vote.

One thing you and I have in common is our committment to to our right to vote.

Yes. We all have to right to vote. Not an obligation but a right.

In my state, we do not have to declare a party. All primaries are the same day. You go in SHOW ID and tell them which party's ballot you want. (Only on ballot per person of course)
I do wonder what kind of looks I would get IF I go in with Red Make America Great Again hat and ask for the Dem ballot. Lol

If you were your MAGA hat and voted Dem, then you would probably be taken seriously. LOLOLOL

Aside from that, NH had a law saying no campaign slogans at the polling stations. I wonder how that is going to fly there. I would hate to think that NH would have to change their laws to cater to the minority.

We have a law saying no "electioneering" within 100 or 200 feet of a polling station. I do not think it applies to voters. I voted for Trump in 2016 with my hat on as did my husband. No one said anything.

I am trying to remember if I wore my Clinton/Gore tshirt to vote in 1992 in IL....

Those are the only 2 candidates who I owned political apparel.

I will look it up to see if they should have said something.

I disagree. It matters in every election to cast your vote. It is your DUTY as an American citizen. Your view about this and mine are polar opposites. I don't make excuses for not doing my job. I think you just made one but hey different strokes. My conscience would not approve of my shirking my duty. I guess yours lets you off the hook. Whatever makes you feel good about yourself works for me m2c. Thank you for your reply.

We disagree. If the only thing on my ballot is one unopposed candidate.....I likely will not bother. Especially IF I like the candidate. If not then I might go in and write in someone else as a protest vote.

Other than that it is a waste of my time and the workers time and my states money.

The candidate I wanted pulled out of the race so now I'm just trying to figure out who is second best. At the moment I do not have a clue. I'm glad you and Twink ARE excited though JG even though I don't share your excitement about Bernie. As long as donnyjohnny isn't prez I won't be ticked off or upset or pi**ed! Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday to thee! :)

I hope that when Bernie is your option, that you commit to supporting him, Rosie.
I held my nose last time and begrudgingly voted for Hillary *sob*

This time, I don't want to be forced to vote against someone, I want to vote FOR someone I believe in. Meeting Bernie several times and practically growing up with him as a local politician gives me a perspective that those less familiar with that man's wonderful work have.

Sorry m'dear but I cannot stand Bernie. At every level he repels me. However you are right. If that is all I have available to me then I will hold my nose and vote for him and then I will never listen to him give any speeches because he is always at only one level. ANGRY IRASCIBLE IRATE EMOTIONAL. He has no other level to him but that. He is loud and shouts and is always at the top of some emotional tirade/rant! Listening to him is EXHAUSTING. I am a quiet person. I avoid people like him every chance I get. I appreciate your going to so much trouble and providing me with a long list of why you like him. I will read it. But unless he changes his way of presenting himself I opt out of ever listening to him. SIGH. If he is the only lifeboat and I can't swim I'm not willing to drown. Beyond that it is what it is. Happy Wednesday to thee JG and say hi to Twink for me please! :)
