No matter how far you roam or where you end up will you always have a WARM connection to where you were born?

Or do you cut all ties and never look back so you feel nothing about where you were or whom you used to be?

If so how do you do that so lightly?

Sure.  I love Chicago and all it's warts and magic.  Good food. Good people.  Good jobs.  Good transportation.  Good for people who are young to mid-age or rich.

I was in Chicago once when I was ten for 4 hours. My mom and baby sis (she was 3) took a train from Los Angeles to Detroit Michigan to visit my grandparents. We had a layover in Chicago so we walked around a bit near the train station and all I remember was how WINDY it was. I know it is called THE WINDY CITY and boy they weren't kidding! Is it due to the proximity to the Great Lakes that causes it? I don't remember what we saw I just remember that relentless wind. That was 72 years ago and counting. Will Chicago ever not be the WINDY CITY? Thank you for your reply Sharon and Happy Monday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 3, 2020 12:36 PM MST
