    For a change I am going to give a straight answer...

    Given the huge  majority that does believe in Climate Change (not "global warming") at least influenced if not caused by human activities... (Whether rightly or wrongly only time will tell.)

         Certainly in Britain

    The UK Government has just brought forwards ending the sales of new petrol, diesel and even hybrid, vehicles, from 2040 to 2045. I think  Norway is even ahead of that, but it's a lot easier there, and for a start has no car-building industry. It will affect imports as well as domestic manufacture.

    "By "vehicles" I do not know if that just means cars and light vans or includes HGVs, buses and industrial and agricultural plant.
