Ian Hunter's first solo release after he left Mott The Hoople at the end of 1974 wouldn't have sounded out of place by his old band. This was his only solo single to chart, although he did manage a couple of albums in the Top 30. "Once Bitten Twice Shy" has since featured on numerous rock compilations. I have seen Ian Hunter in concert three times and he always performs this one.
I never cared much for him or Mott the Hoople.
I rather gathered that the last time I posted Mott The Hoople songs on here. I think they are awesome, I always have and I always will.

Here is Great White's version. Not bad as cover versions of such great songs go, but not as good as the mighty original. Still, GW's version does have a good video. Lol:)
I have seen Ian Hunter live three times (including once about six months ago) and at 77 he still rocks with the best of them. He's been one of my favourite singers for more than 40 years now.
