This Brazilian singer had a Top 10 hit in both the US and UK in 1975 with this fine ballad. He never reached the Top 50 again on either side of the Atlantic and therefore remains a one-hit wonder.
I know that lots of people poke fun of this song as cheesy, but I liked it immediately and never stopped liking it. Listening to this during sex is terrific IMO. I used to see how many kisses I could get in before the song ended.
I was only 13 (and still a virgin) when this song was a hit, and I found it too slow and boring for my tastes at that age. Having heard it on the radio in more recent years I now think it is quite a pleasant song. There are hundreds of songs I didn't like during my school days that I do like now, and this is one of them. I haven't listened to it during sex though. Maybe next time....
