Does anyone use the breadcrumb menus on the site?

(The bracketed info at the top.) We have them in almost every section of the site and I think I've linked everything in the main menu now. I'm considering deleting those breadcrumbs to help move the content closer to the top of the page.

Thanks. I suspect most will feel the same now that all the content-related buttons are in the menu, but we shall see. :)

Yes, I've used it from time to time but my online happiness is not dependent upon it.

I used it once but haven't since then. IMO, I'd get rid of it,  but that's just my opinion.  If the majority like it and find it helpful, that's cool.

I have a suggestion and I, for the life of me can't figure iut why I didn't say anything while we were in Beta...

I hope I'm not being to forward, but what if the top portion where the options are was condensed?
Change the AnswerMug Icon so it is the Home button.  Right now the Answermug icon leads to your profile when you click it.  It's redundant since it's under your profile button
If you make that change and re-order the icons and remove some of the blue-background, it would have a more streamlined look.

This is what I had in mind...

It's just a suggestion of course. I know JA has bigger fish to fry right now with more important things. I just thought I'd throw it out there since she brought up formatting ideas.

Anotther thing I thought about was Freezing the black portion of the header so it remains static on the screen and doesn't scroll with the rest of the page

You mean so it is always on the top of your screen, no matter where you are on the page?

Yes...just the black portion that has notifications, setting, profile info, & sign in & out options

Gotcha.  Not a big deal to me, though I can see where some would like that.

I considered that, but the problem is how it will affect mobile users and the length of time it would take to code. Each element up there is presently its own deal- a full line reserved for the item or "list." And, as the screen reduces, the icons adjust for space. So, on my laptop, which is wide, everything appears in a single nice row. On my PC, I have one or two that pop down to a second row. On my tablet, the icons form to equal rows. Bumping the logo could make it better for you, but it will most certainly negatively impact other members with different screens.

I actually played with the placement of the logo a lot- in the black bar, as the icon for the home button, off to the side, etc. Actually, I didn't even have the home button until the end when I realized that returning muggers wouldn't be accustomed to clicking the logo to return to the home page. That's the part I added in later to help ease the transition. But, no matter what I tried with logo edits, I wrecked the layout for one screen type of another.

Ahhhhhhhhhh... Thanks for explaining, JA.  I checked my tablet and found that had the sames results as you describe.

Are there any plans for Cyrillic alphabet support and translation features?

Once.  I say get ride of it.  It's kinda pointless and redundant.   The same function is served with the description portion IMHO.  It's a fairly pointless waste of page space.

I seldom use it, but have in the past; maybe once or twice.  If you deleted it I wouldn't miss it.

And Sharonna is wrong.  The new site is much mo betta than the old. :-)
