    There were some spanking negotiations, but only when when it was mom who wanted to negotiate. When mom said "I think you need a spanking", there was some hope. When she said "drop your pants", it was always final and there was no tolerance for any delay.

Or about a case, when we just had a conversation about some subject, which turned into a spanking ("You are absolutely correct. Now take your pants and underwear off"). She thought it was funny. Not to me.

These conversations were not even limited to children. My mom also loved to talk stories about how she spanked my uncle and aunt when she babysat them long time ago.
