    Inevitable.

    I recently read a fictional story, where the main character died and was given a chance at which "afterlife" to pursue.
    He was "courted" by Michael (representing Heaven), Lucifer, Odin (Norse), and Morrigan (Celtic) - because they all had some claim to his soul.

    While I don't believe in any deity - I would favor that option.
    Whatever deities have a claim on your soul would have to "court" you and give you an informed choice.
