"MAY" is the operative word here.
There MAY be a genetic component to pain that MAY be evidenced in eye color. Women with blue or green eyes tend to feel less pain than women with brown or hazel eyes. According to some studies that have been done. But they are not CONCLUSIVE.
Those who are more sensitive to pain MAY get faster better relief from pain mitigation.
So thus therefore to whit if there is any truth to that at all and dumb don's gal supporters do in fact tend to have blue or green eyes it means the pain he emits wherever he goes doesn't bother them as much. Make sense?
