Surely, when you are stuck for a convenient word-terminator, any old ion will do?

I am saying no more, for it is entirely possible is it not, that you could be an enemy agent hoping someone will let slip something untoward at mention of 'ion'. 'Flipper' sounds too much like one of those subtly deceptive code-names we are used to have turn up in our Def-33e surveillance reports.

So far we have been very closed-mouthed about our ion thruster technology. For instance, when Deep Space 1's primary mission had been completed, we arranged for the craft to eventually spiral into the sun and burn up, taking its precious secrets with it. But you are already well aware of this are you not? Though, rest assured, we have more than one ion in this fire.

Because ion lays a scientifically universally ground to describe charged particles across the whole spectrum of electro-analysis
