    Privacy matters, and cops deserve it as much as anyone else.

    A court case cannot afford to respect that. ALL the dirty laundry must come out to be examined. A treasure trowe for journalists who want to create a scandal. But really: What does it matter if the Cop (or suspected criminal) picked his nose at breakfast?
