If cops have nothing to hide why would they want to investigate behind closed doors, out of the sight of the public? What do they fear we will see? That applies to everything. Why shouldn't it?

If it applies to everything then the fbi should stop blocking congress on the hillary email investigation.

Privacy matters, and cops deserve it as much as anyone else.

A court case cannot afford to respect that. ALL the dirty laundry must come out to be examined. A treasure trowe for journalists who want to create a scandal. But really: What does it matter if the Cop (or suspected criminal) picked his nose at breakfast?
