    There is no way of predicting that for smaller objects. They are tracking an asteroid that will fly by at 30,000km from us in 2029. The ones large enough to be catastrophic can be tracked and there are no candidates yet.

    Smaller ones hit every day...about the size of a car. They can't be tracked.
