It's mostly sunny, but chilly and windy here today. We have a reported number of possible coronavirus cases here, but only a handful have bee confirmed. I think the flu is much more likely to be the problem. How are things in Hemet?
We're doing okay as far as I know. Another "community" caused victim of the Coronavirus was identified yesterday again in northern California. It has something to do with Travis Air Force Base I think. More such cases may be revealed. I'm not sure what the length of the incubation period is but it's known that those without obvious symptoms can infect others which of course makes everything so much worse. Bumpy ride ahead. There is one verified case out on Long Island, and about 85 others have self-quarantined. That one person who was diagnosed has not left the country so they have no idea how he was infected. It appears that some of those who have died had underlying ailments, so it is possible that a healthy person could overcome it with whatever treatments are already available for viruses, but no one really knows. I suppose we will just have to wait and see. Medical professionals are advising NOT to use masks, but to wash hands frequently and keep them away from eyes, nose and mouth. For now, I will try and stay away from large groups of people and be diligent about hand-washing.
Same goes for us honey. "Stay away from masks"? Why? Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply L. I have two masks in my purse and if/when we go into a store where others are wearing them we'd put them on. Jim is also carrying two in the trunk of the car in a ziplock bag. Where's the harm in wearing one?
I don't know why, but a couple of doctors who specialize in these kinds of diseases have said not to use them. I suspect it probably doesn't do much to prevent transmission and apparently, washing your hands frequently and not touching our face is more effective.
Well that won't happen.. we know, as in scientifically and factually what generally happens with these pandemics - they gradually fizzle out - they don't miraculously disappear.
On the other hand.. we can hope perhaps for Don to miraculously disappear?

One where Trump negotiated with terrorists and where the *actual* government were not involved.. World news has it that the terrorists will NOT share power with the government and this will mean things are back to square one.. all those lives lost for nothing.. Don't shoot the messenger, I wasn't sure whether you guys actually received the complete story there?
