    I believe every country has its codes of ethics for politicians.
    Certainly Australia does.
    But my guess is, most of the pollies never even open the file that contains the ethics.

    I think your "guess" is absolutely correct bw. It exists but is to be avoided AT ALL COSTS. Our most recent scandal? Senators with insider information dumping millions of dollars worth of stock before the market started tanking. Isn't that illegal and shouldn't they go to prison for it?
