    I used to just call it keeping my distance. It was usually a result of another person’s disagreeable personality, bad behavior or poor hygiene.

    I'm in my 20th year of social distancing. I did a stretch of 3 months at one point and can do a few weeks standing on my head.

    Yes.  I claimed my personal space at a young age.  I don't hesitate to tell someone standing behind me to take a couple steps backward.  I try not to stand in a line because I faint if it lasts more than just a few minutes. However.   I learned long ago to stand in front of my cart when I get into a supermarket line.  I have total control about how close I am to others.
