Google tries to give you things it thinks are relevant to you based on your history. I would venture to guess Google already knows you're black and if you search for "people," it will give you photos of black people. If you wouldn't mind, humor me and we'll see if Google gets race. Look what I get when I type "people" and see if you have more ethnicities.
The only other thing I can guess is that you're a lover of black and white photos and Google knows it, so it assumes you're looking for more of them. At any rate, your question made me snort. Thank you. :)
That would certainly be in keeping with a concretistic reasoning style. :-)
IOW, Google (in particular) will progressively narrow your range of choices in searches based on the kind of images/links you've clicked in the past. In this manner it limits the scope of information you receive. The only way around it is to use a metasearch engine or dump your cookies (to Google) every now and then.
Well, search for "European People Art". What do you think you would get?
I'm guessing google programmers are really messing with people.
