    Alternate side parking has been halted in NYC, but you still have to feed a meter if you're parked at one.

    Interesting.  Thanks to all of you for responding and your insight on the matter.
    I asked because I was downtown every day last week for jury duty and got a ticket.
    I didn't realize there was a place reassigned for us.
    Still, I got the ticket and had to pay $45.  It sucked.
    Now, I wonder if they can actually ticket you because they all are supposed to be at home, like the rest of us.
    Maybe they will get a ticket for being out without a "Need?!"

    Wishful thinking.
    Anyway, please stay safe, even from the metermaids, and Happy and Healthy!
