How do you get rid of the stupid bubble? HOW?

Or if can’t get rid of it should be set up that only people on your friends list can message you there, same as the PM’s work. 

I think you can block on chat. 
Click the person name like going to send a message. Then a menu should come up.

I don’t need to block anyone but thanks, I just wanted that bubble gone. The block feature for chat would have been useful to know way back when I first joined though lol. There was a lot of weirdos that just hung out there and never on the boards :) they seem to be gone now :) 

I know I heard about some pervs that were around awhile back. I think they got the boot.  

There was a lot back when I first joined on my first account, I can’t remember what year that was though lol.  

I remember a big blow up over it. I don't think I was mod back when it happened.  Sounded like they went after new members who likely would not report.  No telling how many good users they ran off. 

They did prey on new users, it was never anybody  that ever posted on The boards. just a group of freaks that waited for people to come online and hung out in the chat area.

See, I think that's silly.  Interacting with people is how you know who you would want as a friend.  I don't do the friend thing because it's meaningless.  Every so often I do want to send a message to someone, but because we are not "friends" I can't.  But, I don't like chat and am glad I do not have to see or hear it.

Funny, I hardly noticed it before. But now that you mentioned it, I made it disappear.

It is hard to ignore on mobile. 

It really is, especially if start getting chat notifications. They’re red and don’t go away until you at least read the message.
