What do you think the chances are that any cash in your possession has been contaminated with COVID-19?

Including coins.

My stashed cash probably doesn't as it's been stashed for about a year.  The cash in my purse probably had the virus, but I haven't paid cash for anything in over a month, so the virus is probably dead.

The cash we keep “in the mattress” (wink wink) is still wrapped, so not a concern here either.

You do get that we don’t actually stash any money in a mattress... :)

In Vancouver area I think there is a low chance of money being contaminated with COVID 19 but I wonder how many viruses it would require to start an infection and it would also depend on the condition of one's immune system.

Probably about a zero chance. The last time anyone touched it was probably January. I rarely use cash.

I have been using only a debit card so the cash in my wallet, what little there is should be OK. We also use an industrial strength disinfectant spray.

Since I don't have any cash, that'd be 0%.    (finally, an upside of being poor)

You don’t want any of that dirty stuff anyway, I hear it burns holes in pants pockets too...

Well, you never know where it's been. Best to use card from now on, forget about cash forever.
