"South Korea reports more recovered virus patients testing positive again". And YOU said that could never happen. What say you now?

116 people initially cleared tested positive again

However it may be that the virus REACTIVATED rather than the people being reinfected

Which if true means THE VIRUS LIES DORMANT IN THE SYSTEM and can reactivate at any time.

That is not good news.

While the possibility exists that released patients contract the virus again or it reactivates, many health experts believe positive re-tests likely represent errors in testing, rather than true reinfection. The other compounding issue is when patients are released from hospitals too early, making them positive during control testing. Yet again, we have to wait and to find out the truth of this matter.

It may mean they are carrying the virus but are now reasonably immune from it.

If so that has worrying implications.

The virus won't go away, but will become endemic, hence the tremendous efforts in many countries to develop a safe and effective vaccine.
