Grim days ahead. We open up and get another WAVE of infection and death that lasts a very long time. Inevitable. The next inevitable?

Mental health issues are going to overwhelm us...apparently allegedly. Already some are terrified of going out. Already some are horrified at what's coming next.

So how do we deal with the mental damage done to all of us some of whom will go down in flames while others barely survive it?

PTSD for everyone all the time futurely?

When I went off birth control pills, the doctor put me on Fosamax on the theory that bone density would deteriorate once I was not taking estrogens.  I took it for three or four years and my bone density was in the upper percentile.  I suggested to the doc that I go off the Fosamax to see if it made a significant difference in my bone density and he agreed.  I've never had to go back on and my bone density is at or above the levels suggested for a person my age.

That's what I was on for  almost 20 years. No one monitored the length of time. I was told after I was taken off it that the top time allowed was 7 years! It didn't seem to hurt me. I got off and here I still am. The only bone I ever broke was my ankle when I was 3. Oh of course I've broken a little toe now and then just like my mom did. No need to see a doctor. Just use the next toe for an anchor/splint and put adhesive tape on it to use until it heals...takes about six weeks The first three days is painful but after that you just limp a bit. Thank you for your reply L! :)

When I had a couple of tests that showed how well I was doing, I asked the doc if I could go off it.  He agreed and my tests have been very good ever since.  Sometimes you need to take charge of your own course of treatment.  If there was deterioration, I would have just gone back on it.  It's been decades since I went off and my last test was fine.  Happy Sunday. :)
