Is there anything that has changed during the pandemic that you hope “sticks” when it’s over?

I love the way grocery stores are now that the aisles are directional and people can only go down the aisle one way. I want it to stay like that forever now.

My stores are not doing that so far. But I have heard of it in other areas.

I really like it, I like that everyone takes their turn and no one reaching around people or squeezing by when stopped for 5 seconds. -_-

People are much more courteous trying to keep the 6 ft. That would be nice if it stuck. This post was edited by my2cents at April 20, 2020 9:16 AM MDT

    wow
Haven't seen that one way aisle yet.
Had a pair of gloves handed to me
as I entered the store, Had the handle
of a food basket wiped down with disinfectant
as i entered and went to grab the basket.
Have had to wait in line for 45 minutes
with cops letting us in and out,
but no one way isle yet. haha
...I do like the increase in awareness
    about staying healthy.

The increased awareness is good. I just assumed everywhere was doing this with stores :) By answers I’m seeing here,  I guess I was wrong :)

Yeah, I like that people are respecting personal space. I miss going to restaurants, Pubs, travelling and concerts though. So I hate that social distancing part.

I don't think you'll have long to wait before you can start doing those things again. A lot of states will be easing restrictions soon, which is a bit risky atm, but that's a different debate entirely. I guess it depends on where you live.

Yeah, Canadians are taking it a lot more seriously. It may be a while before life returns to normal up there.

kids are germ vectors pandemic or no pandemic. they have zero sense of hygiene, they touch EVERYTHING, and most parents don’t watch them at all When they are shopping. ive seen a bunch of posts on social media about parents who are big mad they can’t bring their little crotch goblins into stores anymore. sorry Karen but the well-being of the community is more important than little germy jimmy getting to go to Walmart because he is bored.

i have seen kids throw the wildest tantrums in public, just shoving all kinds of crap off the shelves. AND THEIR PARENTS DO NOTHING. I’m not sure who needs a spanking more, the little brat or the parents. if a kid doesn’t behave in public why even take it out

Really....we still see kids in the stores when we go.   Sometimes they are with us as good Grandparents we are.

My2Cents, I believe the previous posts depict what the authors see in their particular locations, and are not meant to specify your personal experience(s).

I am aware that they are speaking about their observations in their particular locations.  And I was stating that in my particular location,  I have not observed the same occurrence. This post was edited by my2cents at April 20, 2020 9:16 AM MDT

yup. some stores here aren’t even letting two people from the same household go in. i don’t mind kids to be honest, in my own experience it just seems like a lot of parents let their children do whatever they please in public places because ”oh well it’s the employees job to clean”

Wow. We have not encountered that at all. We started Phase 1 opening in our state today. (I am still shut down cause our order is by Mayor not Governor)

Great idea. I hate the squalling little brats who run around with no parental control.
