I was wondering where you’d been.  I’m glad you’re okay but that sucks about your computer :/

It's crazy trying to use this site from my cell phone. I'll have to build another from scratch. That will take a couple of weeks. This post was edited by Zack at April 21, 2020 6:00 AM MDT

It’s the only way I do use this site lol. I have a laptop here but it’s owned by my work, so I don’t use it for anything personal.

If that is the limit of your choices, then yep, you’re screwed...

That doesn't sound fun but, to your credit, I'm impressed you can build a computer!
And, regardless of how you get here, it's always good to see you. :)

Here's a novel idea (no pun intended), read a book. This post was edited by SpunkySenior at April 21, 2020 11:32 AM MDT

    Excellent!

My computer is working but your suggestion is a good idea for me, too. (I've been doing other productive things, but I've gotten away from reading and I really enjoy reading.)

I'm an out of context idiot, an anomaly sometimes, but I'm still keeping the post above and about the Birds..There is a photography trick play done in it where things are superimposed unreal like the outline of the fur coated body in the boat. It gives it an extra tremulous effect. The movie is too catered to beautiful people and a little unrealistic but those birds attacking the school kids was something to behold like that kid lying on the ground unconscience. I have to comment more on the Birds and get back to you to:) I'm only at that part. Those birds were loud!

    Yes! I agree!

"Too catered to beautiful people" -- yes! It IS a beautifully-filmed film! The colors are so vibrant and make everyone look so beautiful.

Now, I'm going to talk about a PLOT SPOILER!!! for the movie "The Birds"!!!

Here's a fun fact about the scene with the schoolhouse, the crows gathering on the playground and then their attack on the children, chasing them down the hill to the town.

I believe everything I'm saying is true. I might be wrong on small details but the main points are true. :)

The movie was filmed in TWO communities -- Bodega and Bodega Bay - - they're about a mile or so away from each other. The schoolhouse is in one of the towns and the rest of the town that is filmed for "The Birds" is about a mile away. You got to watch this - - it's so cool to me!

So, in the movie, once the birds start attacking the children, it looks like the children are running down the road from the schoolhouse directly into the town at the bottom of the hill.

In actuality, when we see the children running down the hill and they're FACING the camera (with the schoolhouse in the background), that is in one location.
When we see the children running and the camera is filming them FROM BEHIND as they run, that is in the other town (with the town visible in front of the children at the bottom of the hill). So, those children had two hills to run down away from the birds, to make it look like that schoolhouse is actually in the town. But that school is nowhere near the town.

And when we see "far-away" shots of the entire town in other parts of the movie, the schoolhouse building has been "added in to the image" by special effects. I think that is so fun!
    :)

I went to both towns -- they ended up being my favorite parts of California when I visited the state.
    :)
