Is domestic violence worse than foreign violence?

I have heard that in some parts of South America, it is 'legal' to kill your wife if she has been unfaithful.

It kind of is because it's  happening in our neighbour hoods and the neighbours let it continue. This post reminded me of a song about a woman that is a victom of domestic violence - I think the song is called My Name is Flicka saddest part of the song is - it only hurts untill you cry after that you don't ask why.
