    You get a notification live online on top of your screen. It's the 'clock alarm' that will show up with red numbers for the notifications waiting for you. :-)

    looks like a bell to me at the top of the page
    instantaneous alerts...all manageable
    in the notifications page.

  • Rosie...In addition to what Sapphic & Baba said above...
    You can also change the type of notifications you get through the "Settings" link next to the bell. It will bring up the "My Settings" page

    Then, click the "Notifications" tab on the My Settings page

    There are a whole bunch of settings you can adjust for how you are notified.

  • I much prefer to have an alert for answers. Otherwise it will simply take too much time searching for them.
