You invite a buddy to a cookout and he says he will bring the steaks. He shows up and plops the bag on the counter and says:

"Here's Bambi.". What do you say and do?

Wait, venison and rabbit in the same meal?  That’s like rice and potatoes, or macaroni and corn!

Who said Thumper was a rabbit? (next you'll be saying the Flower she's wearing is a skunk)

    Venison and rabbit??
It sounds to me like you're having a Jack-O-lope for dinner!!
    What is served with Jack-O-lope?

Steamed carrots bring out the flavor of the Jack. A tossed green salad with a light vinaigrette dressing will compliment the lope flavor.  As far as the "O," portion, dress the meat with a sprig of thyme, salt and pepper to taste.  The "O" will come from the mint jelly that is a must with Jack-O-lope.
As far as your starch, you can go with french bread or sough dough rolls.  If you are going to use potatoes, scallop them.  If you go with rice, make it long grain.  Serve with a nice Chardonnay.
Desert?  A raspberry tart.  French vanilla ice cream is optional.
I think that covers all the food groups.  Don't forget water to drink along the way of your dining experience.

    A "Jack-O-lope" for dinner!
Do you have cousins in Wyoming?
How did you catch such a feast??

Roast or Tenderloin?  I would say the Tenderloin crusted in almonds with a Preesselberries.  I would then say take that 870 and clean while I am cooking This post was edited by Archerchef at April 29, 2020 10:54 AM MDT

Easy I still own one.  If you look at the foregrip  and the rifled barrel a dead givaway, Mossbergs, Ithacas, and Winchesters all have slightly different foregrips.  Besides the 870 in Deer Hunter is very popular and has a rifled barrel, Ithaca is the only other one with a factory rifled barrel.Ithacas are just to expensive for a clown dressed like this guy.  Here is a better viewhttps://www.diamanco.gr/Upload/temp/25565-870_Deer_gun/Resize_703x219_white_90_0_0.jpg
    Here is a Mossberg
