    Nah, not the quick polls. Besides from that it will depend on topic how to make the population fit being representative for the full population. Here they make it a question of merits and honour to get as close on the end results of an election for parliamenot as an example. The poll institutes compete with each other.

    Yes about 18 yrs ago, they called and asked for 5 min of my time.  We were about to leave but I said yes.  It took about 20 min.  
    I was somewhat liberal back then...so I was polled as  a young liberal voter.   Have never been polled since. I also don't have a landline anymore, I think they usually call landlines for polling.
