I'm thinking this is the very first election where most people are NOT excited about their party's candidate. Would you agree?

I am yet to talk to someone that really likes a candidate in this election.  Am I wrong with that assumption and do you like the person your party has out there?  I don't care who you are voting for.  I just wonder if anyone is feeling as pessimistic as I am with this notion we are about to elect someone that is merely the "lesser of the two evils".

    We HAD someone who would have been an excellent President that America could be proud of, but the DNC, MSM, and the Clinton machine slimed him.

    I am really depressed about this.  I know we have had "politics as usual" for a long time, but this time, we will really need to think about voting for the one that will do the least amount of damage.

  • Since turning 18, I can honestly say I never been excited to vote for a Presidential candidate.   Even the ones I was excited to see running I knew didn't really have a chance. 
    It has dropped to a new low this election cycle.  I can't wait for it to be over.  The still it won't matter because I'm still going to be hearing and seeing either one of them everyday for at least the next 5 years.

    I don't remember in any other time in history where I felt this strongly that whomever gets in, will be a bad choice.  It certainly does not have anything to do with the usual party rhetoric.  If only it did.

  • That's partly true.   We must remember though there is always that feeling and urgency in every election. The "this is the most important election ever" dialogue happens every 4 years.
    There is a new level of it possibly,  but the phenomenon isn't new at all.

    She is not a bad person.  That other thing?  The one from the spawn of Satan?  That one?  Now that is something to not stand.   

    I bet you are one of those Bernie whiners, aren't you?  I liked him too, but he was not going to win.

    LOL  I guessed right.  

    The time was not ripe enough for the Bern man.   I think he is able to do some effective work still, but I think Hillary is so much better than anything Republican, even if she is not perfection, she may be able to bridge the gap for the better.

    I do not think this is the first. Al Gore against Bush was one that I think people did not care about. I didn't bother to vote. I was excited the first time Obama ran but the second time against mr Romney it was not exciting and I did care to vote either. I felt at those times there was not so much interest in who would win. This election I do see as the lesser of evils but also I am excited I guess because even if I don't think much of trump I think he could be disruptive in some way.  But I thought same of Obama so maybe I am just a sucker.
