Mines If by Rudyard Kipling, but since it's been mentioned already, I'll pick this one...

    The doggies held a conference,
They came from near and far,
    Some came by motor bike,
    And some by motor car
    As each doggie queued,
    And signed the visitors book
Each doggie took his asshole off,
And hung it on a hook.

    As they stood in line,
Each pure breed, Dane and sire
    Some dirty rotten b*stard
    Came in and shouted, 'Fire!'
The dogs were in a panic,
And had no time to look,
So each doggie grabbed an asshole,
    Off the nearest hook.

And that is why you see today
A dog will leave a bone,
    To sniff another's asshole,
To see if it's their own.

Excerpts from a couple of poems in nostalgic vein that appeal to me:

I will hold my house in the high wood

Within a walk of the sea,

And the men that were boys when I was a boy

Shall sit and drink with me.

[‘The South Country’ by Hillaire Belloc]

When you are old and grey and full of sleep,

And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

And slowly read, and dream of the soft look

    Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

[‘When You Are Old’ by William Butler Yeats]
