Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» New Yorkers can now return to their offices in PHASE TWO reopening. Will they or will they continue to stay away?
My office is supposedly re-opening next week or the week after. We are being given a choice to continue to work at home for up to a month or come in to the office. We are all going to be asked which we prefer so they can work out a schedule so that the secretaries are not all in the office at the same time since we sit closer than 6' from each other. We will work every other week in one place or the other. That's fine with me.
Will you hang in at home as long as you can L or are you looking forward to going back out and about? Will you be taking public transportation as you did before? Thank you for your reply sweetie! :)

I plan to work from home for as long as they'll let me. If we go into the office, we have to wear masks all day and I'm not sure I can do that. I have trouble making it through a supermarket run before I feel as though I'm suffocating. I will take the express bus (not the subway) which has fewer people at any given time.
I've grown accustomed to the mask though it took awhile to get me from feeling claustrophobic. At most we're gone two hours. That includes local errands and marketing. So that's not so bad. All day long? I doubt I could do that. I do feel relieved when we get home and I can take the mask off and either spray it with Lysol and let it dry or put it in the laundry depending upon whether it's one of those standard blue masks or made of fabric. But I expect we can "get used to" or "adapt to" anything we have to. I guess we'll find that out. I'd opt for working at home too. Frankly it's the only place feel 100% safe. When I see unmasked out and about I avoid them. To me they are very selfish and I don't trust very selfish these days at all. Thank you for your reply L.
