Vainilla. With an extra 'i'. Pronounced "vie-nee-ya". It comes from Mexico, and it is mixed with a pesticide that tastes exactly like vanilla only better. It is a liver poison. It won't kill you right away, and apparently some people in Mexico drink it like beer. But the FDA has banned all vanilla imports from Mexico because they can't make a pure product. They always slip in some of this pesticide, coumarin. But oh, boy, does it taste good!
