    I find it ironic that back in the late 70s, when Russia invaded Afghanistan, we supplied weapons to the taliban.

    Given that the intelligence agencies do not agree if it happened or not....there are not answers to get.  This why they did not tell President Trump.   Presidents are only told information that they are in agreement is true.   

    Would you have them tell unsubstantiated information and start a war?   Remember Iraq??
