When my first ship was in Australia in 1972, nobody there spoke English.

LOL, the Aussies on here will now set upon you. I’ve got your back as much as I can, but when they start flinging Vegemite at us, you’re on your own.

I need to communicate regularly with people who speak languages I do not know through email. I have a built in translator on my work email, but it’s no better than just using stupid google translate. So I don’t really have a “worst”, but at least a few times a week things get lost in translation, frustrating. On a positive note, I don’t really have to worry about using proper grammar :)

You don't know the people through email or the languages through email?

Surprisingly, I don’t deal with many Americans eh? lol, but the ones I do deal with through work are actually very friendly. The rudest people I deal with are all from Brazil. Every other country is fine, weird.

No, it’s weird to me that every person I’ve ever personally dealt with from Brazil is a jerk, no idea why. The nicest people are from South Africa. I’ll but you Americans somewhere in the middle lol.

I wish I was:/ I’m too old to drink on a work night now,  I’d die tommorow.

I know what you mean. When I was 16-17 in high school, I would smoke a joint in the morning on the way to school - and make it through the day. I even graduated! If I did that now, I would pass out.

When I was in my twenties I’d go out drinking every Tuesday night for karaoke and Thursday night for cheap drinks night and still be good to make it to work by 7am (that was my start time the job I had during those years) Now  if I have a bottle of wine on a Saturday, I’m still dragging my azz to get to work by nine on Monday Lol.

My mom, who lived to be 88, liked to say, "It's tough to get old."
