How many moves ahead does the best Chess Masters see and plan for? Ever know a Chess Master? Are you one?

    I was always told they think about 10 moves ahead.  

    I am good for about 5 moves. I play but am not great. 

    We play 4 player chess some. It is quite interesting. Long game though. Several hours to finish.
