If Trump loses the election, will the Republicans revamp their presidential nominating process?

Why should or would they?  The people made it clear they wanted Trump.  The party would commit suicide if it defied the will of voting Republicans.  And I expect we might see a revolution in the country over such a stunt.  The two-party/electoral college is already horrible and extinct.  A pure popular vote would simplify things and be purely the will of the people.  Where you live should not determine now your vote is cast.

There is no if.  Trump WILL lose the election as many (including myself) predicted he would.  This latest attempt at self-sabotage is just another in a long list of attempts by Trump to throw the election.  Donald Trump is not a Republican, although he makes a damned fine Democratic Manchurian candidate.

This farce was rigged from the start. Surely by now everyone MUST know this.  Either way the Repugnican party is now well and truly defunct.  This WAS their last time at bat.

  • The movement that replaces the Republican Party after this year will certainly not want to repeat the  mistakes of the late great GOP. This is a fatal blow but one has to understand that political parties follow an evolution and are subject to falling by the wayside when political trends shift. Politics is a game with no certainties or guarantees. The real problem as I see it will be a movement toward a one party system. Such a set up would not tolerate opposition or dissent. We can only hope that the fractured GOP will emerge as a new and viable entity on the national scene. We need to have national discourse from two strong political parties.
