The two things I look for are sugar content and sodium content.  I am trying to avoid excesses of both.

High fiber and high protein are what I look for first. No numbered food dyes no high fructose sugar and no hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils. Then low sugar low sodium low fat though we do not eat low fat or non fat anything. When they remove fat they replace it with sugar for flavor and SUGAR is more deadly than fat. Thank you for your reply L! :) This post was edited by RosieG at August 11, 2020 2:53 PM MDT

Not every label, but most.  I look for HFCS, sugar, sodium, artificial coloring, and things I can’t pronounce.
