The night that, while my husband was out of town and my infant was in her crib, my vacuum cleaner turned itself on during the night. This is one of many things that happened while we lived in that house. After I mustered up courage to go downstairs to find my vacuum, with its headlight glowing, plugged in and running, I spent the rest of the night sitting in the stairwell on the bottom landing where I could see the back door to the right, the front door to the left, and my baby's door at the top of the stairs. We lived there seven years. Oh my!!
When bymy youngest sister was a toddler and learning to walk, she was deathly afraid of the sight and sound of the vacuum cleaner whenever it was turned on in her presence. ~

I guess the worst I've got is when I was little I was holding the cat when my mom started the vacuum and my reward was a panicked cat leaving a 6 inch slice down my chest.
Actually, many of my vacuuming experiences have been good ones.
It's kind of like mowing the lawn. You can draw nice, neat lines and have immediate gratification. It is also the LAST thing I do when I clean.
When I'm vacuuming, it means I'm done!
The worst part of vacuuming is my hair. I seem to have a lot of hair on my head because it gets caught in the thing that turns around on the bottom. I have a really hairy time trying to get it out!
You didn't read it closely enough: I don't think it's the hose she's talking about, she obviously lies down on the carpet and runs the vacuum cleaner over her head several times. Sheesh, pay attention, would you? ~
