Mysteriously, Randy just "disappeared" mid-sentence.  No one's seen him since.

*While investigating the mysterious disappearance of Randall D, the police detectives discovered a large manila envelope taped to the underside of the large vault where tildes were stored, it contained documents labeled “In case of my mysterious disappearance or unexplained death, here is the evidence against Shuhak”.  An arrest warrant is being sought at this very moment.

I feel like it should be 'closeted' rather than 'closet' here.

Shall we have Randy weigh in on this?

I'll check the manual, but I believe either is correct.

Depending on context, either can be correct. When referring to a person who is “in the closet”, is “closeted” ever used?  Not to my personal knowledge, but the argument can be made that within context, it is grammatically correct and applicable in its meaning unique to “closet”.

I feel like closeted should be used, rather than closet, when referring to a person, based on grammar rules alone.

My God, Jaimie is right. You guys ARE trying to recruit me to join the dark side of grammar-enthusiasm!

I'm gonna do whatever I have to do for my boss to get me off this case. I QUIT!

Proper/correct grammar does not have a dark side.
