Well let's just hope the whole darned island doesn't slide sideways right off the continental shelf, eh Nanoose. Luckily for us, human life is so (geologically speaking) short, that it would be a cruel blow of fate for us to be around when the big one hits.

  • I live in Sacramento, so I have experienced earthquakes and we have an up-to-date emergency kit just in case.

Who knows, maybe the big one won't happen till we are gone and forgotten. I have a feeling most people just hope it won't happen to them.

Technically yes. My house in NYC is approximately 2,865 miles east of the San Andreas fault and, continuing east, a much greater distance around the world from the Pacific coast.

I grew up in Southern California so I've had my fair share of earthquakes.
