Are/were you a bright spot in anyone's workday?

Why or why not?

Yes. I was a veritable plethora, a cornucopia, if you will, of knowledge. I was often called upon for difficult-to-answer questions and dilemmas.

You mean with your pants on?

How does that make you a bright spot?

I always did my best not to leave any spots, bright or otherwise. That would be embarrassing when the young lady had to spend the rest of a whole workday without another outfit to change into.

      Jealous.

I‘ll get around to you eventually, quit being so mean to the others who got in line before you did!  Sheesh!

    Reported.

I almost reported this unwelcome typo correction, for real. I've never reported anything that I can recall. I never really recall seeing "report" button before just now. Anyway, I wanted to see what happened if I hit "report". Like, is there a "grammar cop" button? (there isn't).

    Almost reported.

(Incorrect* use of the word "like".)
      (There* isn't)
(Period [full stop] should be inside the parentheses, not outside of them.*)

*Obviously an intentional jab at the citing officer.

Three intentional 'errors'; 5 demerits each.  Pay the bailiff on your way out, please.  Cash only, scofflaw.

Deliberate use of the word 'like' as a shout-out to my 80's roots.

    I'll pay in sandwiches?

Your questionable and barely plausible "complaint" against the citing officer has been turned over to the Internal Affairs Bureau for determination of credibility.  Be careful, though; one of the main IAB investigator ladies has a thing for Randy D.  Jes' sayin'.

It seems harder to be a bright spot virtually, doesn't it?
