Is your house work ever completely done or are there always some minor things that might want to be tended to?

      I think that should be one compound word as opposed to two separate words: housework. So, as you can see, mine is never done. (Sigh.)

    I grew up on a farm and I sure can say 'a farmer's work is never done'. Was in the Navy and for sure 'a sailor's work is never done'.
