  • I used to sell books in half.com,  which is a section of eBay.  I only got a few requests so I  just took my account down.

    Thanks, Karen.

My daughter is selling stuff on there.  Mostly jewelry.  I don't even know what she has but she likes doing it.

If you need any questions answered, I'll tell her to friend you.  I'm sure you know what you are doing and all, but maybe you'd like to know what she finds she is having some success with.    I want everyone to do it so I learn from them.

  • Only once and it was a good experience. Sold an item first day (made offer). Just make sure to read all the fine print on charges (to sell), shipping and returns procedures.

  • No. I bought one thing from that site once. ONCE.

It was fine. I just don't want to buy other people's junk.

  • Aww Mr B, I agree with that most of the time, but they also sell new things. In addition, if it's an item you thought you would never again find, chances are good you will find it there. Hope you have a great day!

I have 2500 ebay transactions.  I hardly go there now because it isn't fun like it was in the early days  when it was people dealing with people rather than your standard business ripoffs.   You better know what something should cost before you buy on there these days.  Back when I was in school I started buying and selling textbooks, then that turned into computers, and before I knew it I had a small business going along with a full time job, kids, and school in the evenings.  But it was fun and I learned a lot.  I won't sell a single thing on ebay now because they force you to accept credit cards.  My Paypal account is one of the old personal ones and I don't pay a percentage to pay for items.  But you can't accept credit cards with a personal account.  ebay is majorly greedy and looks after their business high-volume sellers.  I do buy items every now and then but instead of selling on ebay like I used to do, I just put things out on the street and someone usually picks it up.  Moving twice I got rid of most of my old stuff and things I don't want or need anymore.
