So his adoration of white supremacist domestic terrorists resides in his blood and his bones and his guts and organs and his veins and his arteries. What else is there? Why else is he?
His pop was almost certainly in the KKK, but the NSDAP per se didn't exist that far back. Ergo, they could not have been Nazis. That doesn't prevent them from being racist and anti-Semitic. Hitler didn't invent that, he merely built on something that had long been part of German/Middle European culture. The Habsburgs were so deeply into eugenics and "racial purity" that they inbred themselves to death. The Kaisers were anti-Semitic, Martin Luther was disgustingly so.

Studied modern history. The National Socialist German Workers' Party (socialist in name only, they were as "Socialist" as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is "Democratic") was born of the discontent prevalent in Germany due to the terms of the Treaty of Versailles which brought the First World War to a close (and were akin to robbery with violence). It rose to power on the back of the hyperinflation of the Deutschmark in the early days of the Depression, when the Weimar Republic was desperately trying to remain solvent. President Hindenburg attempted to keep Hitler out by encouraging the other major parties in the German Parliament into coalition (no party had a clear majority), but when that fell apart he had little choice but to declare Hitler Chancellor. The rest you probably know.
Once again m'dear thank you for giving dimension to history for me. Presdient HINDENBURG? I thought that was a dirigible that caught fire in which many died? So it is a real person? "Socialist" means different things to different groups I suppose which makes it hard if not impossible to know where they are coming from. Isn't social security socialist? Or medicare? How are they bad? I wish we could go back and rewrite or tweak or oil or clean the social machine to make it run better. SIGH. Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply R. I expect I should call you "teach" but well it's kinda late for that. I always thought government was in charge with a PLAN and a DIRECTION and a GOAL to protect support inform the people.
