Why is there a need for farmers to grow corn and soybeans and stuff when we can just go to the store for that stuff anyway?

That's just a myth about farmers growing corn, wheat, flax and stuff. All they do all day is walk around carrying a pitchfork and wearing a straw hat and coveralls.

Thank you for confirming, maybe if overalls come back in fashion I will chose to be a farmer when I decide to change careers again. This one I’m in now is gonna be the death of me. I just wanna wear a straw hat and live my best life.

Yeah, you just need to buy a small rural property with an old barn and silo on it for the scenery and maybe an old cow or two as well. You gotta be chewing on a piece of straw alla time too.

I think I might pass on the cows  and buy some goats. Cows frighten me with all their chewing and stuff.

But goats need to chew on tin cans, at least that's what I've seen in cartoon sketches.

I always wondered about that as a kid.

Goats typically get the bad rep for eating everything, including a tin can, but that statement is typically false. When they chew on a tin can, they aren't actually chewing on the metal but in reality, eating the label and the glue on that label.

Well at least they don’t just chew ALL day long for the sake of chewing.. that’s what cows do. At least that’s what I’ve learned about cows from cartoons.

Why indeed. You can't beat unvarnished Canadian logic can you?
Of course, any enterprise with a government finger in it eventually gets all bent out of shape - farming is a prime example.

It explains the soybean circles too you just don't hear about them because you live in a area that is controlled by the Jolly Green Giant and  he is always talking to reporters about the crop circles in  his corn fields because he is a media ho ho ho. Cheers and happy  weekend!
