For those of you who are "of a certain age" besides still being alive what is the best thing about being old?

I would have to say that one of the best things about being old is that I don't have to worry about so many of the things I did when I was young.  I'm happy in my own skin and I don't have to please anyone unless I want to.

Exactly m'dear. Precisely. Pretty much we got back our sovereignty over our own time. It is sublime! Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee and all your family L! :)

I don't know from one day to the next what is open and what is closed.  Last I heard, NYC bars, gyms and restaurants have to close by 10 PM.

If everyone had taken this seriously and done his/her part from the beginning we would not be in this mess. I know you know that. It ticks me off bigly that we who did the right thing have to pay for those who didn't. SIGH. Thank you for your reply. I'm gonna see if it ticks others off bigly too.! :)

I agree.  When I see signs that say "no masks because it's a matter of control," it makes me wonder why they don't realize that it's a means of controlling the virus, not taking away your rights.  Dumb clucks.

You know honey how their minds are wired is totally unlike ours. And how they perceive the world is also very different. Since we only have our brains to work with it's kinda hard to "put ourselves in their place" because so far what they do say think makes no sense to me. You may not have the degree of difficulty as I do. You're smarter and also kinder which I'm not. I struggel all the time trying to figger them out and well I can't. I don't have the right stuff but I think you do and there are some others here that seem to also. Thank you for your reply L. Should we fear more the virus or the weaponized erratic supporters of the person who lost? Beats me! :(

It's hard for me to put myself in the place of someone who refuses to see reason.  Wearing masks and distancing from others as much as possible is not the onerous thing they make it out to be.

Me too. It is illogical. I have a real problem with those who aren't logical. Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at November 13, 2020 12:04 PM MST
