You need to watch the current news. Results were certified Wednesday night.

I guess you missed the update. This is why I said after some back and forth.
The Reps on the board in Wayne Co have revoced the certification. Saying threatened until they agreed. The woman said she was promised an audit to determine why the discrepancy and then she seen that was not going to happen.
So it may also end up in the courts.  This post was edited by my2cents at November 19, 2020 9:17 AM MST

Latest news is that there is no legal basis to rescind their votes.

As I said will end up in the courts.  Signing something under duress is reason.  A false agreement to an audit is also a reason.

Let me rephrase my answer, to wit: According to Michigan officials, there is no legal basis for that vote to be rescinded---kind of like it's a little too late for you to change your recent vote for president.

As I said it will end up in court.  They did not want to certify because there were more votes than voters.  This is fraud.  And Hopefully the state will stand up for the election integrity.

Not all counties have certified....perhaps they will band together and force the audit.

You say "Signing something under duress is reason (for it ending up in court)."

"Duress" doesn't provide the necessary cause of action to prevail in a court case---of course one can file anyway---with no success. This post was edited by tom jackson at November 20, 2020 6:34 AM MST

Again it would be up to the judge.   They have proof they we were forced to sit through a 2 hr zoom meeting were people attacked them and their personal information doxxed.

You can say the sun orbits the earth as many times as you want to; but it won't change the reality that the earth revolves around the sun---nor will it change the reality that if there is no basis for a legal remedy, the judge cannot impose one.

We will just have to wait and see then.

Not really, just like Biden having been declared the winner, I doubt waiting and seeing will change the law.

As I have said the courts will decide. This case will as well. Especially if the next step the State board refuses to certify.  (Same set up 4 people, 2 Dems and 2 Reps)  Then it is supposed to go to state legislature.
But it will end up in court also. With the 2 from Wayne Co among the witnesses.

Marriage can be annulled if consent was not given freely---if it was freely given, then for it to be annulled one needs to find another basis for the annulment---and the same for other contracts.

But that's OK, Rudy wasn't familiar with the appropriate state law the other day---and I haven't seem any evidence of formal legal training based on this comment.

It is always hard to give a book report when one hasn't read the book.

I don't know about that.  And we are still talking about number of ballots.
    Why would default be Biden?

There is a time limit for certifying the election.  If no verification is made by that time, I would imagine the votes are considered vacated.  Ergo, Biden wins.

I believe if their is no certification it goes to the state legislature.  They are majority Republican.

IF you just mean that county, it is Detroit.  A Dem stronghold would Biden still win without it?

Well, does the state legislature get to change the votes to Republican if they were for democrats?  How fair would that be?

Biden has close to 80 million votes.  I don't know if Biden would win without it.  As you probably can see, may formerly Republican counties have voted for Biden.

No, they would not changing votes.  You mentioned vacating the votes.  That is not changing them, it is determining the be void because the numbers do not add up.  (More votes than voters)  So I do not know how that works.  I read that if they cannot certify it goes to the state legitslature.
Rep counties going for Biden.  That is how they originally found the "glitch" that counted Trump 6000 votes for Biden. A normally red county showed as a landslide for Biden.  It made the local workers look closer.

You say it "goes to the legislature."  What then does the legislature do?

It sounds like there is still another step the State board must agree to certify (again another 4 person board with 2 Dems and 2 Reps)
    This is what I read:
Under state law, Michigan counties must finish their canvasses by Nov. 17 and report certified results to the state canvassing board within 24 hours. The state board is set to meet Nov. 23 to certify the results. If a majority of the four-member state board — made up of an equal number of Democrats and Republicans — does not agree on a winner in any or all elections, state law directs the legislature to meet in joint session and decide.

So that means the legislature gets to decide who wins the election and the voters be damned?  Not very democratic is it?

Nope. But it would because there was enough questions they do not believe the vote is accurate.
