These don't border the continental United States and I'm pretty sure they are in international waters.

The question is not restricted to the continental United States.

"Border | Definition of Border by Merriam-Webster
    www.merriam-webster.com › dictionary › border

2 : to touch at the edge or boundary"

In other words, the line between abutting areas

The westernmost edge of American Samoa is less than 24NM from the easternmost point of (Western) Samoa. Same applies to territorial waters of Puerto Rico and those of the Dominican Republic, and the US and British Virgin Islands.
Include Anguilla,  Cuba and Venezuela in that if the US EEC applies (200NM or midpoint).

Unless I'm reading the definition of "border" incorrectly, my reading is that it means countries that actually abut the continental U.S.

The definition of the word “border” does not address nor absolve the fact that the question is specifically worded to include areas beyond just those located in the continental United States.

Then your question is incorrectly posed sine no possession or territory abuts the continental U.S.

You seem to be obsessed with the concept of the continental US being all or part of the question, and I cannot understand why. No US territory or possession is part of the continental US.

I don't know why you're confused.  Your statement that. "No US territory or possession is part of the continental US." is exactly what I've been saying, so they don't border the US.

I don’t know why you’re confused, nor why we’re still arguing about this.

Taking into considerationevery land mass that is part of the United States of America, which means that in addition to the continental US, all of its legally and politically owned territories and possessions, that is what I mean. Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands are examples. The way you keep pounding away at the word continental, continental, continental appears to ignore the broader picture.

Now, I’m not stating that the collective list of all US land masses do or do not border any other countries than Canada and Mexico.  That’s still the question that I leave open for anyone here to answer (as you did in your first response). My point being made here to you merely and directly addresses your repeated insistence at the word “continental”.

I'll add all countries where we have a embassy, as those are part of the US.

    2...Canada and Mexico

Our territories are islands...they do not border any other countries.

Embassies may be on land owned by the US Fed government but that land is still considered part of the host country.
