Theresa was a quietly satisfied young teacher by day. But when the sun went down, her life was an endless, faceless whirl of bars and beds and men she'd never seen before and wouldn't see again. If she couldn't find love, she took chances on men who were better than no men at all. And learned, with each new night and each new nightmare, that finding her man was only the beginning. (less)
I saw this movie in my 20's. It scared the heck out of me, I could not SLEEP that night.
Maybe some or even a lot? ...but i know two women that are not searching for anything Master Ching Hai and Gurumayi Chidvilasananda ...Gurujis Guru was Swami Muktananda. Swami Muktanandas guru was Bhagavan Nityananda. ...She writes in one of her books "Sadhana of the heart" ..."In Truth, the gift of life must always be recognized and never be taken for granted. Why is life so precious? In Siddha Yoga philosophy, we recognize that in this human life we have a rare opportunity. We can transform an ordinary perception of this universe into an extraordinary vision. To be on this planet and to behold the universe from the divine perspective is the sign of an illumined heart. To put this vision to best use in the best way possible is a human beings highest duty"
After I answedr this I went to youtube and watched the movie. I had not seen it since 1977. What a difference 40 years makes. I can't believe I can even say that!
I know, Thrifty. It was horrifyingly real to me back when I would go out with friends to bars a lot in my 20's. I never picked up strange men, but they could very easily follow home single girls.
Hi Welby, I bet I read it too, but I cannot remember as it was ages ago. I know that would be something I would pick up just to make me even more scared. I was nuts back then.
